Photographer Spotlight: Alina Trifan

I’m really fascinated by this image because of its play on connection, overlap, and interaction. Alina Trifan created this piece as part of a series she made while in quarantine and I feel that her use of the human shadow reaching for something they can’t exactly have is an accurate representation of our situation. I additionally enjoy how it travels from a further image of the person’s body to the closer image of the hand’s shadow because it gives the piece an element of movement.
